Soon, mysterious crimes plague the Paris Opera House, blamed on a legendary “phantom”. Pit violinist Claudin hopelessly loves rising operatic soprano Christine Dubois (as do baritone Anatole and police inspector Raoul) and secretly aids her career. Synopsis: The Phantom of the Opera is a 1962 British horror film directed by Terence Fisher, a loose adaptation of the 1910 novel Le Fantôme de lOpéra by Gaston Leroux.
